The National Junior Santa Gertrudis Association (NJSGA) is committed to building industry and breed leaders. Through its various programs, the NJSGA provides members numerous opportunities to enhance their leadership skills, engage with others and enrich their herds.
As one of the top junior programs in the beef industry, the NJSGA has active participation from all juniors. In addition to exhibiting livestock, NJSGA members participate in a variety of leadership contests, including public speaking, brain bowl and livestock judging.
Founded in 1979, the NJSGA is most proud that its junior members are responsible young adults who know the meaning of competition, hard work and sportsmanship – they are the future leaders of the beef industry.
Each year, $40,000 in scholarships are awarded to deserving NJSGA members.
