Why do we have a long range plan?

The Long-Range Planning Committee guides the organization’s future-oriented strategic decision-making. It maintains a long-term perspective, develops and updates strategic plans aligned with the association’s mission, monitors implementation progress, and recommends adjustments as needs evolve. The Committee also connects long-term priorities with financial planning to support effective resource allocation. Through this work, it helps ensure the organization remains proactive, prepared, and responsive to future challenges and opportunities.

What does this provide?

For SGBI, the strategic plan establishes clear organizational direction by aligning goals, objectives, and actions with the association’s mission and vision. By defining these priorities, the plan supports more efficient use of resources and increases the likelihood of achieving the association’s long-term objectives.
